Finland wins Bronze beats Slovakia
Finland beat Slovakia tonight 5-3 to win the Bronze Medal in men’s Olympic hockey.
Slovakia was playing to win their first ever medal in Olympic hockey, and took a 3-1 lead in the second period. But Finland came out strong in the third period scoring 3 goals, 2 on the power play, and one even strength. Slovakia pulled their goalie late in the third trying to tie it up, but Val Filppula scored on the empty net to wrap up the Bronze medal.
